In 2025, South Seas was honoured to supply high-voltage switchgear and provide full technical support for the POBOYA Gold Mine project in Indonesia. Implemented by CPM (Citra Palu Minerals), the project aims to enhance the production capacity and operational efficiency of the Poboya Gold Mine, delivering stable and reliable electrical power for ongoing mining operations.
South Seas’ involvement covered a wide range of services, including:
Design, manufacturing, and supply of high-voltage switchgear
Installation and commissioning support for the HV electrical system, ensuring seamless integration with the on-site power infrastructure
Assistance with equipment installation and placement verification, strictly aligned with engineering specifications
Technical support and fault response during the trial run period to ensure the safe and stable operation of the HV system
This project showcases South Seas’ technical expertise in delivering tailored electrical solutions for global mining projects. It also provided critical infrastructure support to ensure the successful operation of the CPM-led Poboya Gold Mine.
