From 2024 to 2025, South Seas was honoured to supply custom-designed door systems for the electrical rooms of the CITIC Pacific Mining (CPM) project in Australia. These door systems provide robust protection and environmental adaptability for critical power distribution and control spaces within the mining site. This supply not only addressed functional performance but also met the site’s stringent requirements for industrial safety, durability, and aesthetics.
As the central space housing both high and low-voltage switchgear, automation systems, and power distribution equipment, the electrical room demands strict standards for its entry system—particularly in terms of sealing, fire resistance, and wind pressure resistance. Tailored to the structure and installation environment of CPM’s electrical rooms, South Seas developed steel doors with high corrosion resistance, dust and water protection (IP-rated), and advanced safety features. These include compatibility with specific door swing configurations, emergency egress requirements, and grounding connections, all in accordance with mining safety regulations.
All products were designed and manufactured in strict compliance with Australian standards and underwent multiple rounds of quality inspection and structural testing to ensure long-term stability in high-temperature, dusty, and remote mining environments.
The successful delivery of this project marks another solid step for South Seas in the field of modular electrical infrastructure components for the mining industry. We remain committed to delivering reliable products and professional customised services, providing high-quality system solutions for resource-based projects around the globe.
