In 2023, South Seas was privileged to participate in the CITIC Pacific project in Australia, which involved arc flash protection calculations for low-voltage cabinets associated with high-pressure grinding rolls (HPGR). CITIC Pacific is a well-known engineering and technology company with a wide range of projects in Australia, spanning sectors such as mining and energy.
High-pressure grinding rolls are commonly used in ore crushing and grinding processes, and the low-voltage cabinets are crucial components for controlling and protecting high-voltage equipment. In the mining industry, due to the unique operational environment of the equipment, arc flash incidents can occur, making arc flash protection calculations a critical step in ensuring the safe operation of the equipment.
As a professional engineering and technology company, South Seas took on the responsibility of conducting arc flash protection calculations for the low-voltage cabinets in the CITIC Pacific project. Our engineering team thoroughly assessed the equipment and working environment on-site, and, in close alignment with the client’s needs and technical requirements, designed a reliable arc flash protection calculation plan.
Through meticulous calculations and analysis, we provided comprehensive technical support for the CITIC Pacific project, ensuring the safe operation of the low-voltage cabinets associated with the HPGR. This not only enhanced the reliability and stability of the equipment but also provided strong support for the project's production efficiency and safety.
