In 2025, South Seas was honoured to supply and support the Kiosk units for the power generation area of the Poboya Gold Mine project in Indonesia. The project, implemented by CPM (Citra Palu Minerals), is located in central Indonesia and serves as a key gold development site, leveraging advanced mining and processing technologies. As one of the mine’s most critical infrastructure zones, the power generation area plays a vital role in ensuring continuous and efficient mine operation.
South Seas provided a complete solution for the power generation kiosks, including:
Design, manufacturing, and delivery of power generation area Kiosks, tailored to the mine’s distribution and control requirements. Each Kiosk was equipped with highly reliable electrical equipment designed to withstand harsh mining environments, ensuring stable power supply operation.
High-quality components and intelligent control systems, enabling automated generator start/stop, load distribution, and fault protection, greatly enhancing the efficiency of power management at the mine.
Robust enclosure design, specifically engineered for high-temperature, high-humidity, dusty, and corrosive conditions typical of mining environments, ensuring durability and long-term stability.
Each power generation Kiosk was equipped with:
High-voltage switchgear (MCC) for generator load distribution and protection
PLC-based automation systems offering intelligent control, monitoring, and alarm functions to enhance operational safety and efficiency
Variable Speed Drives (VSDs) to optimise motor start-up, shutdown, and speed control — reducing energy consumption and extending equipment lifespan
Advanced monitoring and protection systems, providing real-time data collection, remote diagnostics, and maintenance capabilities
