Located in the mountainous region of Central Sulawesi, the Poboya Gold Mine poses strict requirements for the reliability of power distribution systems operating in high-temperature, high-humidity, and remote mining conditions. The E-house solution provided by South Seas features an integrated modular design, pre-installed with high-voltage ring main units (RMUs), low-voltage MCCs, VSDs, UPS, lighting, and fire protection systems. Each unit is equipped with temperature control systems and anti-corrosion, dust-resistant coatings to ensure excellent adaptability in challenging field environments.
For this project, South Seas was responsible for the complete design, manufacturing, functional testing, and sea freight delivery of the electrical rooms, while also providing technical documentation and remote support services. Our solution significantly shortened the construction timeline and reduced on-site safety risks.
The successful delivery of this project highlights South Seas’ strong brand presence and engineering execution capabilities in the Southeast Asian market. It also provides tangible support for the modernisation of Indonesia’s mining electrical infrastructure. Moving forward, South Seas will continue to support key projects along the Belt and Road Initiative with innovative smart power distribution solutions, empowering mining clients worldwide.
