In 2024, South Seas Technologies had the privilege to participate in the low-voltage power distribution E-House supply task for the Kiaka gold mine project in Burkina Faso, West Africa. The project aims to provide a reliable electrical power distribution system to support the production and operation of the gold mine.
Burkina Faso is a country in West Africa known for its rich mineral resources, and the Kiaka gold mine project is a crucial venture in the country's mineral development sector. Situated in the eastern region of Burkina Faso, specifically in the Kiaka area, the project boasts abundant reserves of gold ore and is seen as a pivotal project for the country's future mining industry.

The low-voltage power distribution system plays a vital role in gold mine production, with the E-House serving as an integrated electrical control facility that efficiently centralizes power control and distribution. This enhances the reliability and safety of the power system, ensuring smooth operation of the gold mine.
KiakaSA/Lyco, the project's main contractor, oversees the construction and operation of the gold mine project. South Seas Technologies had the honor of being the electrical equipment supplier for this project, providing high-quality low-voltage power distribution E-House equipment. We supplied equipment compliant with international standards and Burkina Faso's national standards, with a total value of $3.2 million. This included low-voltage power distribution switchroom, low-voltage MCC, low-voltage VSD, DB, and UPS cabinets, ensuring a stable and reliable power supply for the gold mine project.
